Big Brother kicked our it’s second Celebrity houseguest last night, but was it Chris Kattan or Mirai Nagasu who got the chop?
After the nominations ceremony, Miesha was convinced that she could get Carson on the chopping block still this week – as long as the PoV lands in the right hands.
Competing in the live Veto competition this week were the nominees, Chris Kirkpatrick and Todrick, Shanna and Cynthia.
For the competition they were shown a series of images. One of the image says the words ‘Marry Me’ and they had to correctly guess which section of the image the word is shown.
The Veto played out as follows:
- Round 1: Everyone but Chris K gets a point
- Round 2: Everyone but Chris K gets a point
- Round 3: Mirai, Todrick, & Cynthia get a point
- Round 4: Mirai & Todrick get a point
- Round 5: Shanna gets a point
- Round 6: Everyone but Chris Kattan gets a point
- Round 7: Todrick, Shanna, & Cynthia get a point
- Tie-Breaker: Shanna gets the point!
As Shanna won the tie breaker she is the new holder of the golden power of Veto. With the she had the option to remove either Mirai or Chris Kattan from the block or leave the noms the same. She ultimately chose to not use the Veto which left both nominees on the block.
During the eviction ceremony, the houseguests unanimously voted 7-0 for Mirai to be evicted from the house which then resulted in her eviction.
While talking to host, Julie Chen-Moonves she said that she was prepared to leave the house last night, saying:
‘It was really lonely for me in there and I didn’t relate to anyone.’
‘I’ve never been the only Asian-American in a room and that is something that I will have to endure. I’ve always been surrounded and that was really hard for me,’ Mirai said.
‘Well, I have been the only Asian-American in the room,’ Julie told her. ‘I’m a little bit older.’
Julie said that despite the age difference, it really looked like she bonded with Kattan. Mirai said after spending time with him that she can’t wait to read his books and to see his stand-up comedy performances.
‘He was really funny,’ she said. ‘I hope he comes out of the room more, because he hasn’t opened up yet.’
