Celebrity Big Brother officially kicked off its second season on Monday night as twelve brand new celebrities entered the house to begin a month of drama, competitions, and backstabbing, all for our viewing pleasure.
After the twelve celebs entered the house, viewers got the chance to see how some of them are getting along and from the get-go, we’re going to get some drama. Tamar Braxton and Kandi Burruss aren’t fans of each other due to something that happened in the music industry.
Host Julie Chen Moonves dropped the “expect the unexpected” slogan and boy, did no one expect the twist that was coming. She told the celebs that they are taking part in the first-ever “Celebrity Power Pair” competition and it would be played in duos. The winning duo would have one member of be the sole Head of Household.
Everyone was paired up except Kato Kaelin and Natalie Eva Marie, so they earned immunity from the first eviction of the season on Friday. The competition saw the celebs swinging back and forth while trying to fill a giant glass with “champagne” – okay it was foamy water – let’s be honest.
Anyway, Ryan Lochte and Jonathan Bennett were victorious and one of them would become the first HoH of the season. But first, (okay, I had to!) Julie had some news for the pair. Jonathan and Ryan will now face off against one another to determine who is HoH. The loser will automatically be up for eviction.
Talk about harsh.
Who will become the first Head of Household and who will be nominated for eviction? Find out when Celebrity Big Brother continues on Tuesday night at 8/7c on CBS as part of the two-night premiere event. If you can’t wait, head to our spoilers page to find out what’s going on inside the house.
