Former Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett became the first celebrity to be evicted from season two of Celebrity Big Brother on Friday night as he lost out to both Joey Lawrence and Kandi Burruss in a 6-1 vote.
Before we could get to the eviction, we one supposed ‘big twist’ to get to that surrounded Anthony Scaramucci’s departure. Big Brother claims The Mooch was never a houseguest, to begin with. And this twist was planned from the start.
But I have a tough time believing that. Host Julie Chen Moonves usually tells fans of all upcoming twists beforehand and it just smells like Mooch wanted out and production did their best to accommodate him and scrambled to find a way to explain it.
Ryan puts Kandi up in the Mooch’s place and we head to the second Power of Veto competition that is all about Anthony. The celebs had to decide how many true headlines were in a pile of giant “newspapers”. This just screamed “last minute competition” as Kato won it. He decided to take Tom off the block and he was replaced with Joey.
It was finally time for the live vote and eviction and everyone but Dina voted to evict Jonathan, so the movie star was sent packing on a 6-1 vote.
Following his eviction, Jonathan left the house and spoke with Julie about his time and what went wrong.
“Getting an Olympic gold medalist to team up with was a big mistake,” Jonathan said of his partnership with Ryan.
However, Julie reminded him he had three chances to save himself and he stuck his neck out for Dina Lohan.
“It was way harder,” he said of his experience. “I couldn’t tell you how hard it is to be in there. “It is the best and craziest experience you’ll ever have.”
