Ryan Lochte wins first HoH of season as (many, many) alliances form

Celebrity Big Brother continued its two-night premiere event on Tuesday and it gave us an HoH, nominees, and alliances.

So. Many. Alliances.

Tuesday’s episode picked up after host Julie Chen Moonves told the celebrities that Ryan and Jonathan will go head-to-head to determine who is the first Head of Household.

Jonathan wants to form an alliance of seven (because that’s always a great idea, right?) and quickly gets on Ryan’s good side. Jonathan wants himself, Ryan, Kandi, Tamar, Lolo, Natalie, and Joey to form a power alliance. However, the two guys promised each other that they are the final two.

Now, we all know Tamar and Kandi aren’t cool with each other but Tamar says if she stays in the house, she’ll work with the Atlanta Housewife. Meanwhile, Lolo goes to tell Joey but before she even said a word, he informs her that he doesn’t want to join any alliance, in fact, he hates the word.

Joey wants to work solo… in Big Brother… Good luck with that.

Jonathan goes to make a second alliance with Ryan, himself, Lolo and Natalie. And we see Nat in the DR saying Lolo is her ride or die. I’m all for two powerful, strong women agreeing to go to the end.

Joey doesn’t want an alliance… in Celebrity Big Brother.. Oh boy.

If you through the alliances stopped there, you’d be wrong. Tamar goes to Lolo, Kandi, and Natalie to form an all-women alliance. They decide to call themselves The Four Tops but it is important to note that in 20 seasons of regular Big Brother and one celebrity season, an all-female alliance has NEVER worked.

It is finally time for the Head of Household competition… or some form of it again. This time, Ryan and Jonathan would have to zip line through the air and try to knock down a child-block billboard. Despite a last-second effort from Jonathan, Ryan won the HoH.

Julie informed him he would have to nominate two people for eviction, meaning three people would be up. All this and then we have Anthony (aka, The Mooch) telling Kato and Tom he won’t ever target them.

That sounds like a mobster hugging you before he sends his boys to kill you. Creepy.

Meanwhile, Ryan tells his allies he is going to put up Dina and Anthony. This doesn’t sit well with Jonathan because Dina (or Diana as Ryan calls her) was like a second mom to him because he was in Mean Girls with her daughter Lindsay.

Tom and Anthony joined Jonathan on the block for eviction.

Did you guys know Jonathan was in Mean Girls? It isn’t like he mentioned it in the house or anything. *eye roll*

As the episode ends, Ryan makes his nominations. He decides to nominate Anthony and Tom to join Jonathan on the block.

Who will win the Power of Veto and will it save Anthony, Jonathan, or Tom? Find out when Celebrity Big Brother continues on Wednesday night at 8/7c on CBS as part of the two-night premiere event. If you can’t wait, head to our spoilers page to find out what’s going on inside the house.
