A surprise engagement overshadows the obvious week ahead

Victor Arroyo proposes to Nicole Franzel. Both are from Big Brother 16. BIG BROTHER follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day. The series airs Sundays and Wednesdays (8:00-9:00PM, ET/P/T) and Thursdays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Photo: Johnny Vy/CBS 2018 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

With Kaycee in power this week, we all know how things will play out. So a surprise engagement of two former Big Brother players was the highlight of a rather dull Sunday night episode of Big Brother.

Nicole Franzel from Big Brother 16 and the winner of Big Brother 18 comes into the host, thinking she’s going to host a luxury competition. She looks for the houseguests but they are actually locked in the HoH room. Nicole walks into the living room and the plasma TV plays a video of Big Brother 18 contestant and her boyfriend Victor Arroyo recapping their love from their time in the house to relationship outside of the house.

Victor pops out from the kitchen and pops the question to Nicole and of course, she says yes. The party doesn’t stop there as BB16 winner Derrick Levasseur, BB18 and BB19 runner-up Paul Abrahamian, BB12 and BB14’s Britney Haynes-Godwin, and Daniele Donato-Briones from BB8 and BB13 returned for the celebration.

Houseguests past and present celebrate Victor Arroyo and Nicole Franzel’s engagement on Big Brother.

As for the game, Kaycee informs Haleigh she’s going on the block and this results in more tears from the Texan. She also informs Sam she’s going up as a pawn and Sam says she won’t freak out. Wait until she gets on the block.

At the nomination ceremony, Kaycee sticks true to her word and puts Sam and Haleigh up.

“Haleigh you put me on the block twice, Sam you voted against the house twice,” Kaycee said in her speech. “At this point I don’t have many options. And this is get the least amount of blood on my hands. You know I love you guys.”

Sam goes full psycho in the Diary Room, dropping f-bombs and promising to tear the house up if she is the one who goes home this week.

So much for staying calm.
