Jack Matthews evicted, becomes first member of jury

Personal trainer Jack Matthews became the latest houseguest to be evicted from the Big Brother house on Thursday night, becoming the first member of the jury.

Jessica had herself quite the week as she singlehandedly got one of the biggest threats out of the house and into the jury. When host Julie Chen Moonves returned for the live vote, we all had a feeling how this was going.

Jack would be evicted on a 6-2 vote and as he left the house, he sat down with Julie for one heck of an interview.

Julie brought up Jack’s racist and derogatory comments about ex-housemate Kemi, some of which included him calling her a “bitch” and “horses***.”

“I do apologize for what I said, and that’s very sincere,” he said. “I think Kemi was, and is, a great person. This game, being in a 24-hour view of people, you say things. I wouldn’t say that I fully support the things that I said in the way that I said them. If I could take them back, I would.”

Fans were outraged for weeks as Jack appeared to make several racist statements in the house, which caught the attention of live feed watchers. CBS and Big Brother producers would end up releasing a joint statement on the matter.

Julie asked who he would like to see win and he answered Jackson or Cliff.

It was then time for the Head of Household competition. This was basically a lucky draw as the houseguests had to get the closest time without going over nine seconds. After everyone had gone, Tommy would win the HoH.

Well, at least we had one good week in the house.

Who will Tommy nominate for eviction? And which houseguest will win immunity in the BB Field Trip comp? Find out when Big Brother continues on Sunday night at 8/7c on CBS.
