Sam Smith evicted on chaotic night as alliances implode

Truck driver Sam Smith became the latest houseguest to be evicted from the Big Brother house on Thursday night after a chaotic night inside the house.

Host Julie Chen Moonves began the show with an unscripted open, informing viewers that the house was in chaos and lies were being exposed.

“We don’t what’s going to happen tonight,” she said.

The show kicked off following the Power of Veto ceremony. Kat went up on the block but paranoia began to sweep through the house. The Six Shooters were questioning each other and wondered if keeping Kat would be good moving forward or should they stick to the plan.

When it came down to the live vote and eviction, Sam was sent packing on a 9-0 vote in a surprising result. After he exited the house, Julie asked Sam what happened.

“I guess Kat cried more than I did,” he said. “There was a lot that went on tonight. Maybe I should have cried.”

When asked why he didn’t get the floaters to his side, he said: “They would just go where the power is. I don’t think they would have stayed true to the alliance.”

It was then time for the next HoH competition to begin. The houseguests had to memorize pictures and answer questions about them.

Before signing off, Julie informed viewers that they will see all the pre-eviction drama on Sunday night. She also informed us of the new “America’s Field Trip” twist, which will see one houseguest win immunity and one be put on the block.

Who will win HoH, who will be put on the block, and what happened prior to Thursday’s eviction? Find out when Big Brother continues on Sunday night at 8/7c on CBS.
