Wednesday’s episode of Big Brother saw the houseguests compete in the first Power of Veto competition of the summer, with nominated houseguests Michael and Terrance fighting to secure their place in the house.

After the conclusion of the nominations ceremony, HoH Daniel says that his main goal this week is to evict Big Brother superfan Michael – although he backtracks on this when confronted by Michael in the HoH room.

Taylor then decides to do an impromptu fashion show in the house, which on the surface seems to go down well. Behind her back however, the other women in the house call her out as ‘desperate for attention’.

It’s now time to pick players for the first Veto competition of the season! Daniel draws Indy, Terrance draws Ameerah and Michael draws Turner. Therefore, competing this week are nominees Michael & Terrance, HoH Daniel, Ameerah, Turner and Indy.

The Veto competition is a joust tournament and is played in head to head rounds.

Competing knights will mount a noble steed, grab a floppy sword and collect rings.

Whoever collects the most rings will win and the last knight standing at the end of five rounds will win the Power of Veto.

It’s Ameerah vs Michael in the final round. After two passes it’s a tie at 8 rings a pair. With one final pass of the round, Michael wins by a score of 4-3, winning the PoV and safety.

After the Veto competition, the all girl alliance, Girls Girls remain adamant that girls must make it to the very end of the season, with a plan to target the men of the house before they get targeted themselves.

Taylor walks in during the girls’ discussion and expresses her opinion that it’s too early in the game to be able to cast assumptions based solely on gender – she refuses to give Paloma any intel on the men of the house. This then causes Paloma to declare that Taylor isn’t a ‘Girls Girl’.

Speaking to Monte, Taylor says that her biggest concern is Terrance going home this week – she then goes on to say that Paloma is worried about the men targeting the women this season. Monte later confronts Paloma over this, which Paloma denies, in front of Joshua with the boys appearing to believe what she is selling.

As a result, the girls then change course on a plan to target the men and official target Taylor, with Paloma now in ‘tears’ calling Taylor a ‘lying bitch’.

Monte tells Daniel that he feels bad potentially sending a black woman home, but still advises Daniel to put her up as a replacement nominee.

At the Veto meeting, as expected Michael removes himself from the block leaving an open spot for a replacement nominee.

Daniel fills that spot with Taylor, telling her that she rubs people in the house the wrong way.

Will either Terrance or Taylor become the first to be evicted from the house on Thursday or will the Backstage twist send another houseguest packing?
