It was an action packed show last night which saw the first houseguest of the summer evicted by a vote of their fellow houseguests. No sooner had they walked out the door, the search was on for a new HoH, who in turn nominated another 2 houseguests for eviction.
First things first, and it was down to business as one by one, 12 houseguests made their way to the diary room and casted their votes to evict. In a unanimous 12-0 vote, Pooch became the first evictee of the summer, not withstanding Paloma’s choice to self evict.
Following his Pooch’s eviction, Julie revealed that BB had another twist in store for the houseguests. This one’s called “Festie Besties” and here’s how it works. The houseguests have all been paired up, with Julie explaining that the HoH’s partner will be safe from eviction. She also revealed that houseguests will be nominated in pairs, play the veto in pairs and that the veto will save both houseguests from eviction, if used.
In this week’s HoH competition, the houseguests were playing musical chairs. Each houseguest had to hold down a button, until the music stopped playing at which point they had to sit down. Last one to sit was eliminated, any houseguest who let go of their button would also be eliminated.
As houseguests were eliminated, they then had to choose whether to pair up with one of the already eliminated houseguests or sit at an empty table and start a new pairing.
The houseguests were paired up as follows:
- Turner & Jasmine
- Joseph & Monte
- Daniel & Kyle
- Indy & Alyssa
- Michael & Brittany
- Ameerah & Terrance
- Nicole & Taylor
Turner was the last houseguest standing and therefore became the new HoH.
The episode also saw Jasmine choose Indy and Alyssa as have-nots for the week.
At the nomination ceremony, Turner nominated Michael and Brittany.
