Metta World Peace evicted fourth from Celebrity Big Brother US

Former NBA star Metta World Peace became the fourth celebrity to get the boot from the Celebrity Big Brother US house following a Power of Veto twist.

Monday’s live episode saw the Power of Veto competition play out, won by nominee Ross Mathews.

However, America’s vote made sure it was no ordinary PoV. The public voted on three different veto powers and chose the ‘VIP Veto’. This gave the holder the power to take two replacements off the chopping block if they chose to. Ross left no doubt he was using it, forcing Head of Household Omarosa to put Metta on the chopping block as a replacement.

Ross declined to use the veto a second time, leaving Metta up next to Brandi Glanville to face the chop. During the final pleas before the vote, Brandi felt confident she was staying: “I just want to say, thanks Metta for wanting to go home.”

Brandi was right to feel confident as Metta was easily evicted in a 5-0 vote.

Speaking to host Julie Chen following the eviction, Metta was emotional: “We built a bond in there, I was unbelievable. I made ten other brothers and sisters in there, but it was so hard.”

When asked if he learned anything in the house, Metta said: “I learned a lot. I learned I missed my family a lot.”

Metta went on to say he wants Ross to win the show.

Julie then confirmed Friday will be a double eviction with two celebrities getting the chop. The final five will all make it to finale night to battle it out to be crowned winner and claim the $250,000 prize.

Celebrity Big Brother continues Wednesday night at 8/7c with the Head of Household competition and nominations.
