Shannon Elizabeth became the third celebrity to be evicted from Celebrity Big Brother USA on Friday night, despite a last-minute effort to stir the pot.
Friday’s episode saw the Power of Veto competition play out, won by nominee James Maslow. He left no doubt he was using it, forcing Head of Household Ariadna to put Mark McGrath on the chopping block as a replacement.
During the final pleas before the vote, both Mark and Shannon sent love to their families and plugged some of the reasons they were in the house.
As a result, only Brandi voted to keep Shannon in the house as the American Pie actress was evicted with a 5-1 vote.
Speaking to host Julie Chen following the eviction, Shannon said she felt betrayed: “It’s a toss-up. Brandi and Ari heard something they didn’t and Ross and Marissa because we had the final four.”
When asked if she played too hard, Shannon said: “I thought about throwing the first one [competition], but since there were more girls than guys, I feel I needed to win it.”
Julie then asked what surprised her most about her time in the house.
“The boredom,” she said. “The waiting around and doing nothing.”
Celebrity Big Brother USA airs Sunday’s Monday’s Wednesday’s, and Friday’s on CBS in the states.
