Viewers award Sam first power of the season from BB App Store

Big Brother’s 20th season continued on Sunday with alliances forming, showmances blossoming, and one houseguest receiving a special power that could save them from eviction.

Sunday’s episode begins with the fallout from Tyler’s nominations of Steve and Sam. Tyler claims to be overcome with emotion as he cries in the backyard over upsetting the two houseguests for putting them on the block. He tells us in the Diary Room it was all an act. Was it? You be the judge.

Showmance alert! The first showmance of the season began to blossom between Bayleigh and Swaggy C. She tells him she doesn’t like his nickname and they playfully flirt. Later on, she says she is putting up a boycott as a guy will not ruin her game. The boycott does not last long as Bayleigh and Swaggy are kissing in bed.

Meanwhile, we finally see the house split as two alliances are formed. First is Level 6, consisting of Angela, Winston, Brett, Rachel, Tyler, and Kaycee. They do some weird handshake to confirm the deal but it just needs to not be a thing, really. The other alliance is made up of Kaitlyn, Angie, Swaggy, Hayleigh, and Faysal. They are called some weird name that Kaitlyn made up.

Finally, we get to the main point of the episode, the BB App Store is open for business. One by one, the houseguests go up to see if they are trending. Faysal finds out he is the least trending the most and picks “Hamazon” as his punishment.

Sam is up and finds out she is the top-trending houseguest of the week. She doesn’t seem to understand why and is overcome with emotion. She picks her prize of “Bonus Life” that will give her the chance to return to the game if she is evicted in the first four weeks.

There has been some debate about the wording and here is the wording of the power from Sunday’s show.

How will Sam’s power affect the game? And who will win the Power of Veto? Find out when Big Brother continues on Wednesday night at 8/7c on CBS. If you can’t wait until then, head to our spoilers page to see who won the PoV and if it was used.
