James Maslow evicted sixth from Celebrity Big Brother US in double eviction shock

Big Time Rush star James Maslow became the sixth celebrity to get the boot from the Celebrity Big Brother US house and the second of the night in the show’s live double eviction on Friday.

Friday’s live episode saw Brandi Glanville become the first celebrity of the night to get evicted. Following her eviction, Omarosa Newman won her second Head Of Household of the season. She put up Ross Mathews and Marissa Winokur for eviction.

During the live Power of Veto competition, Ross won his second PoV of the season after correctly identifying a painting in a matching competition.

Ross left no doubt he was using it, forcing Omarosa to put James on the chopping block as a replacement.

During their final pleas, James and Marissa made their pitches, with James saying its best to keep him as he knows anyone can win with him in the end.

However, his pleas did him no good. James was evicted with a 2-1 vote, with Mark McGrath being the lone vote to keep him.

Speaking to host Julie Chen following the eviction, James admitted he was shocked: “I’m pretty surprised, but with this few numbers anything can happen.”

Julie then told James he was a ‘beast’ in competitions, loyal to his allies in the game. So, where did he go wrong?

“I think I went wrong by not committing to the deal with Omarosa,” he said. “I was hesitant to because I wanted to stick to my final four. But if I had her trust more, she probably wouldn’t have put me up right now.”

Julie then asked who he thought would win.

“Today changed a lot of things,” James said. “Its anyone’s game, but Ross has done the best so far.”

Celebrity Big Brother US airs its season finale on Sunday night at 8/7c on CBS.
